Community Arts Center
The WCAC is the home for all of Western School District's concerts, plays, assemblies and many of its meetings. It is used extensively by the district. Built in 1992, it was 21 years old February, 2013 and still remains in pristine condition.
The WCAC is available for rent. We have had dance recitals, band and choir concerts from other schools, the Jackson Youth Symphony, church groups, business rallies, political debates, piano recitals and Girl Scout events and the Jackson County Rose Queen Pageant in this facility over the years. We are the current home of the Jackson County Spelling Bee.
Our rates are reasonable, and the facility is one of the most modern in the state. We have the capability to create lighting and sound designs suited to your needs, as well as offer special effects such as smoke, fog and pyrotechnics. The facility boasts two large gather rooms backstage as well as a separate dressing room and a scene shop.
